Our Commitment to Safety & Compliance
In the remote and beautiful landscapes of Flores and Komodo, your safety and peace of mind are our highest priorities. Flores Nusa Tenggara, a subsidiary of the Juara Holding Group, operates at a standard of safety and regulatory compliance that is unparalleled in the region. We have invested heavily in systems, training, and certifications to ensure that every aspect of your journey is managed with professional diligence. This commitment to safety is a core tenet of our evaluation process for all partners.
Corporate & Regulatory Compliance
We are a legally registered and fully compliant entity under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
- Official Business License (SIUP-PARIWISATA): We operate under a full Tour and Travel Services Business License (Surat Izin Usaha Pariwisata) issued by the Indonesian government, which authorizes us to conduct comprehensive tour operations.
- Taxpayer Identification (NPWP): We are a registered corporate taxpayer (Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak), fulfilling all fiscal responsibilities as mandated by Indonesian law.
- Mandatory Staff Insurance: All our employees, including boat crews and full-time guides, are registered and covered by Indonesia’s national social security programs: BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (for employment-related risks) and BPJS Kesehatan (for health insurance).
Operational Safety Standards
We implement and enforce strict safety protocols across all our land and sea operations.
Marine Operations (Komodo National Park)
- Vessel Certification: Every vessel in our partner fleet holds a valid seaworthiness certificate (Surat Kelaiklautan Kapal) and is registered with the local port authority (KSOP Labuan Bajo).
- Modern Navigation & Safety Equipment: Our vessels are equipped with modern navigation aids including GPS, AIS (Automatic Identification System), and marine radio. Safety equipment, including life rafts, life jackets, fire extinguishers, and an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon), is inspected before every departure.
- Certified Crew: All captains and key crew members hold the necessary maritime certifications (e.g., ANKAPIN/ATKAPIN). Our dive guides are certified PADI Divemasters or Instructors.
Overland Operations (Trans-Flores Route)
- Fleet Maintenance: Our fleet of vehicles undergoes a rigorous monthly maintenance schedule. Pre-departure checks of tires, brakes, and engine systems are mandatory before every overland journey.
- GPS Tracking: Every vehicle is equipped with a real-time GPS tracking device, monitored by our operations base in Labuan Bajo, ensuring we know your location at all times.
- Professional Drivers: Our drivers are experienced professionals with the appropriate commercial driver’s license (SIM B1/B2) and a deep familiarity with the challenging terrain of the Trans-Flores highway. They are trained in defensive driving and basic vehicle maintenance.
Emergency Preparedness & Response
We are prepared for any contingency to ensure a swift and effective response.
- 24/7 Emergency Line: We maintain a 24/7 operations hotline staffed by senior management who can immediately coordinate an emergency response.
- Medical Evacuation Protocol: We have an established partnership and direct line of communication with Siloam Hospitals in Labuan Bajo, the region’s best-equipped medical facility, for any medical emergencies. We also have protocols for air evacuation to Bali if required.
- Guide Training: All our lead guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and are trained in emergency response procedures, from handling minor injuries to managing a major incident until professional help arrives.
